About

ASN Sp. z o.o. creates innovative, Linux-based solutions for computer networks.

The company started its operation in field of computer networks in 2004. A network for wireless Internet access was built on the area of Świętochłowice city (Silesia region of Poland). During next few years network range was extended, covering cities of Chorzów, Bytom and Ruda Śląska.

Since becoming an ISP operator, ASN put great care on creating own IT solutions based on Open Source Software. It was a mix of day to day practice in delivering Internet access, enthusiastic team of IT specialists and research on radio communication that eventually resulted in software and hardware products for computer networks.

Currently the company operates as a limited liability company with offices in Ruda Śląska.

2006

release of first public 2.0 version of the Lintrack project
delivery of telecommunication services to Śląski Park Przemysłowy in Świętochłowice (Silesian Industrial Park Ltd.)

2005

after one year of operation as ISP we serve 200 customers from Świętochłowice
optical fibre connection to 3S

2004

deployment of integrated PPPoE system
start of first version of the Asnet network, built in mesh architecture using OLSR protocol
